2102_0460The Lake Baroon Catchment Care Group has won the coveted 2015 Rural and Agriculture category at the recent 2015 Healthy Waterways Awards. The Award, presented by Queensland Rail, recognises the efforts of LBCCG in 2014 for building strong relationships with the catchment’s landholders and implementing projects with a total value exceeding $535,000. LBCCG with the outstanding support of Seqwater is committed to not only protecting the catchments waterways and improving water quality outcomes but also supporting primary producers to improvement property management that can lead to improving viability and sustainability. The award was accepted by LBCCG President Peter Stevens and Vice-President Steve Skull.

The 2015 Healthy Waterways Awards Gala Dinner was an exclusive opportunity to honour south east Queensland’s waterway champions, gain insight into the many innovative waterway health projects being undertaken in the region, as well as bringing together community and industry leaders.
